Rustic and Shabby Chic Wedding Ideas
If you're planning a wedding, you've probably heard a few phrases thrown around that describe the kind of theme someone is trying to pull off with their decorations. The theme usually flows through starting with the invitations, location, music, flowers, attire etc etc etc. You will probably start feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the different styles and themes out there. There are a lot, believe me. Having been in the wedding biz for quite a while now. I've seen all kinds of themes. Some that are fads or just plan outrageous. But the ones I love are the ones that are timeless and have staying power. Rustic and Shabby Chic are two that I think will be around for a long time to come.If you aren't familiar with the terms Rustic or Shabby Chic I will explain them real quickly for you. With Rustic, think outdoors, using natural ingredients like wood, bark, moss, burlap, flowers, greenery. Ideas for invitations maybe trees, woodland animals, birds. Usually the colors are natural greens, browns mixed with soft pretty pastels or other shades of green and brown.
Shabby Chic adds a bit more whimsy with a touch of Rustic. Think outside with lovely mason jars filled with flowers or candles, hanging from trees or shepherds hooks. A fabric garland hanging between two trees to make a backdrop to your altar for when you exchange vows. Think pastels and floral patterns. Burlap is used a lot with Shabby Chic along with lace, and pearls. Yes burlap, lace and pearls! Can you picture it??? Gorgeous!
Well without further ado I have a few samples of some ideas that you can use for your wedding. Here is a link to my Etsy shop to find all the items below.www.littlebluebirdsays.etsy.com
